Summer Learning Journey Kick Start

Do you like my colouring?

Japan

 We have been learning about Japan because it is where the Olympics was. This is one of my reading activities.

karate

Olympic games Karate is a sport in the Olympics and they fight people to get points and if they get more points than the other person they would win the game. This would put them in the semi final and the winner will get a trophy. The other people that came second will get a trophy for that person. The next year they go up another grade and compete with bigger people.

Question: will the flower bloom in water?

Hypothesis: I think the petals will unravel.

Materials

Scissors

Pens

Paper

Dish 

Water

Procedure:  When you get you flower you colour it in and then you get a tray and put water in it and then see what happens  to your flower.

Conclusion I  think that the flower will soak in the water and then all the moisture will make the flower to make\ pedals come out from the middle and look like a real flower blooming.

How to make a sandcastle

We have been learning to writing instructions.   Here is my writing on how to build a sandcastle.

How to make a sandcastle

You will need 

• Damp sand

• A small plastic bucket

• A small plastic spade

1 Fill your bucket to the top with moist sand.

2 Use the spade to pat the sand in the bucket and make sure it is tightly packed in.

3 Pick up your bucket then turn it over and place it back on the ground in one quick movement.

4 Tap the bucket with the spade a few times to loosen the sand inside. 

You now have a sandcastle build.
